The Moline Church of Christ has the desire to have ministries in place that are active for every age group. We hope that one of these ministries will benefit you and your family as well. If you would like more information on one of these ministries contact us, and we will get back to you as soon as we can.

                                                  Prayer Ministry:
We would love to pray for you anytime that you feel the need. We believe in the power of prayer, and we have many that are ready now to offer your request up to God. If you have a prayer request, leave that for us under the contact us section, or call the office at 309-797-5433.

                                    New Members and Visitors Ministry:
We would love for you to be a part of us at the Moline Church of Christ. However, we realize that this can be an uneasy process for you. That’s why we have this ministry in place. This ministry gives all new people a chance to feel welcome and a part.

                                                  Youth Ministries:
Youth ministry is a big part of what takes place at the Moline Church of Christ. Whether someone is a new born or eighteen, they will be taken care of by caring people. We make it our mission to teach values, religion, and spiritual application to every child. The different youth ministries that we have in place are listed here.
Kids of the Kingdom is the program we have for ages 6 through the 6th grade. This program gives this age group special attention on Sunday mornings during class and the regular service time as well. During the services, the kids are given a children’s service where they sing, pray, do crafts, watch videos, and participate in many things of a spiritual nature. There is also an activity planned once a month for this age group as well. We also offer this same service for 3-5 yr olds during the 10:30 am Sunday church service.

I.M.P.A.C.T. is the name of the junior and senior high ministries. This age group is engaged in bible study, worship, and weekly challenges to increase their faith. There are several activities a month planned for this age group.

                                                  Young Adult Ministry:

The young adults here invite you to be a part of an individually focused group of people that are seeking a deeper love for God and a stronger faith. This group has their own class time at 9:30 a.m. on Sundays, and this ministry is also on the move and growing. Come be a part of a fellowship of young adult believers who are waiting to encourage you.

                                                     Senior Ministry:
Young At Heart is the name of our ministry for seniors. This group is very active in the church, and this group has a monthly outing for fun every month. Young at Heart also is very active in their support of area hospitals and nursing homes. This group is involved with acts of charity quite often, and the Young At Heart would love to have you.

                                     Married Couples and Family Ministry:
This is a ministry that is very important to the church here. We have a HOMBUILDERS class for this age group on Sundays at 9:30 am. This ministry is very active on a personal basis as many couples enjoy just being in one another’s homes. Also, this ministry group attends at least one marriage enrichment conference each year.

                                                        Ladies Ministry:
W.I.N.G.S. is a monthly fellowship of women committed to serving the church. These women meet on the second Sunday of the month after services for encouragement and for prayer and planning. This group is very active and would love to have you as a part of it.

                                                          Men’s Ministry:
The men’s ministry plans a weekend retreat each year. Future growth will take place with the men in the future in the form of leadership challenges and bible studies.

PHONE TREE

How do you get the entire church praying for something in a matter of minutes?  The Phone Tree is something we couldn’t do without.  If you can dial a phone and pass on information, you are fully equipped to serve in this very necessary ministry.

MONTHLY FELLOWSHIP MEAL:

The second Sunday of each month is certainly special.  We have our ‘potluck’ after services that Sunday.  At the beginning of each year a sign-up sheet is posted in the ‘coat room’ (located off the south east corner of the auditorium), and different people sign up to ‘host’ each month’s meal.  Most of our women select a theme and decorate the fellowship hall accordingly.

BULLETIN BOARDS:

One of those small ministries that has a great impact on people!  Our building is filled with bulletin boards, but these need to be updated throughout the year with new borders, designs, etc.  A great work for the creative at heart.

WARMING HEARTS MINISTRY:

Each year we give out approximately 1400 coats in a 4 hour time span!  There is no reward greater than the smile of a child who has just picked out their own new winter coat.  Help is needed in the parking lot to direct traffic, in the coat room to help guide people to appropriate sizes and help in the trying on of coats.  A truly rewarding work!

FUNERAL HELP:

While no one enjoys a funeral, this is a needed ministry.  Our congregation is known for providing meals for the families of those who have passed away, whether they were members of our congregation or not.  This is one way to truly show the compassion and love of our Lord.  We also send flowers to the families of our members and close relations in this time of need.

CARING HEARTS:

This ministry pairs our teens with adults in the congregation who will encourage and support the teen.  They send their assigned teen cards of encouragement; pray for them; talk to them and, if possible, attend school events.

LADIES' NIGHT OUT:

Ladies meet for supper on the 2nd Monday of the month at 5:30 p.m.

at Village Inn on 53rd St. in Moline.

WE CARE MINISTRY:

This group sends cards of encouragement, makes phone calls, and visits absent members.  A group of people also prays for specific prayer requests.

BISHOPS LUNCH BUNCH:

Meets every Thursday at Bishop’s Buffet at Southpark Mall in Moline

at 11:30 a.m. for lunch.

MOTHER-DAUGHTER TEA:

Held yearly on one Friday night in May.  Every woman is a daughter, so every woman is invited to attend!

SCHULTS-LEWIS CHILD AND FAMILY SERVICES

We support this Church of Christ facility in Valparaiso, IN. for troubled teens.  We collect coin cans, purchase an assigned commodity item and make contributions

to their work.

HANDS OF COMPASSION

May Clinic patients and their families are welcome to stay at the House of Compassion operated by the Church of Christ group called Hands of Compassion in Rochester, MN.  This ministry is supported by donations.
