Our Staff

Preaching Minister: Lance Love

Lance W. Love graduated from the Center for Christian Education in Irving, TX. In 1999 and received his BA in Biblical Studies from Southern Christian University in Montgomery, AL. in 2001. He has served as minister for the Moline Church of Christ since 1999.

Lance grew up on a ranch in West Texas and spent twelve years in the medical field as a Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer and Registered Vascular Technologist. During that time his relationship with Jesus Christ deepened and he found himself ministering to his patients more and more as he went about his daily job. Lance worked for several congregations in Washington and Texas as a volunteer youth minister and worship director before returning to school and going into full time ministry.

“My goal in life is to be a servant of God, not just a church goer. When I prepare my sermons, I study first for myself, then for the lesson. I preach expository sermons, meaning that I study to find what the original writer was saying to his original audience. If I can know what he was trying to get them to hear, and apply that message to my own life, then I can preach that message to others.”

One of Lance’s greatest passions is to help people come to a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. “I’ve been through many hardships in my own life, and at times it seemed like everyone had abandoned me. But as I’ve turned to God again and again, I see his presence and I know He is real.” Lance loves to share Jesus Christ with people who are hurting and need answers to life’s questions.

Lance and his wife, Dorrie, love the Midwest and would love to meet you.

Rob Fraser moved here from Memphis, Tennessee after receiving his Bachelor of Science degree in Bible and Youth Ministry from Freed-Hardeman University in December of 2002. Rob has been on staff since February of 2003 and is presently serving with the youth of all ages and as the song director for worship services. Rob also directs the monthly nursing home services as well as a Sunday night program for elementary school students known as “pew packers” that further supplements the training young children receive in their bible classes and worship. Rob is also an active member of the local youth ministry network known as the N.E.T. where he serves as a board member.

Rob is married to Kylea Waltz Fraser of Pennsylania. They were married in October of 2003. Kylea is an active part of the youth ministry program and in other areas of the church, and she also works in the hair and makeup profession. Kylea enjoys baking and crafts as well as mentoring girls of all ages in the church.

Rob has two sisters, April and Jennifer, one brother, Justin, and parents, Lawrence and Teresa Fraser, all residing in Tennessee. Rob was an intern for the Acappella company during 2001 when he was able to sing in 23 states across the southern and northeastern United States. Rob has also worked in radio, mission campaigns, outreach events, and with various singing groups throughout the past several years. Rob’s favorite verse is 1st Peter 4:10 (NIV). Rob says that what he enjoys the most about ministry is that “everyday you wake up to a new opportunity to meet someone who can make your life better and the opportunity to make an eternal impact on someone as well.”
