Preaching Minister: Lance
Love
 |
Lance W. Love graduated from
the Center for Christian Education in Irving, TX. In 1999 and received
his BA in Biblical Studies from Southern Christian University in Montgomery,
AL. in 2001. He has served as minister for the Moline Church of Christ
since 1999.
Lance grew up on a ranch in West Texas and spent twelve years in the
medical field as a Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer and Registered
Vascular Technologist. During that time his relationship with Jesus Christ
deepened and he found himself ministering to his patients more and more
as he went about his daily job. Lance worked for several congregations
in Washington and Texas as a volunteer youth minister and worship director
before returning to school and going into full time ministry.

“My goal in life is to be a servant
of God, not just a church goer. When I prepare my sermons, I study first
for myself, then for the lesson. I preach expository sermons, meaning
that I study to find what the original writer was saying to his original
audience. If I can know what he was trying to get them to hear, and apply
that message to my own life, then I can preach that message to others.”
One of Lance’s greatest passions is to help people come to a personal
relationship with Jesus Christ. “I’ve been through many hardships
in my own life, and at times it seemed like everyone had abandoned me.
But as I’ve turned to God again and again, I see his presence and
I know He is real.” Lance loves to share Jesus Christ with people
who are hurting and need answers to life’s questions.
Lance and his wife, Dorrie, love the Midwest and would love to meet
you. |
